The Hanged Man ~ To Surrender, Without Defeat!
Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week: The Hanged Man, representing Surrender (with a capital S!), compassion, and embracing a spiritual perspective. Perfect for the Mercury Retrograde, and Wednesday’s Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse—where we’re all learning to relinquish a little control!
At first glance, The Hanged Man may seem to be in a defeated poise, yet he’s hanging upside down for a reason: he has willingly decided to see life in a whole new way. With his feet in the air, he has surrendered to Spirit, to something greater than himself. He is a channel between the personality/ego and the higher self. Ultimately, this card is a Mediation on Love–like gratitude, the highest vibration–a process of learning compassion for yourself and others.
So, this week if you’re feeling frustrated, or even defeated about events and life—let go and let God. Also, if your actions are based on guilt, then you may not be in alignment with your highest good. You do not have to make amends! Know that by trusting Spirit, and embracing a higher sensibility, you open up room in your life for Divine Grace, and transformation you never dreamed possible!
Whenever The Hanged Man shows up in my life, it always reminds me of the Serenity Prayer:
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
Powerful stuff, and perhaps…all of our mantras this week! Wishing you much grace!
