Six of Cups ~ Back to the Future!
Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Six of Cups, representing: Emotional renewal/purification, love, enjoyment and remembering the child within.
Part of the beauty of the Tarot is, like all intuitive arts, it holds the possibility of great synchronicity. So when I drew the Six of Cups (at random), I was greatly moved, because it’s just the message I needed right now, and perhaps, you too: Even as a grown-up, we can and may be a child again!
With two elderly parents, both ill, the family dynamic/emotional pot has been stirred, and I’ve been taking my own trip down memory lane, reviewing my family journey. We all have early conditioning that has influenced our current emotional experience of life and this card offers a sweet and hopeful perspective.
The image is from the Salvador Dali Tarot, an exquisite deck. Here’s what they say and I paraphrase:
This is the only card showing the cups filled with flowers—representing the blossoming of inner life. If you have received this card if offers encouragement to leave the pain of childhood behind and return to the openness and joy of your early days, although this is easier said than done.
Carefully evaluate your emotional experience. What was good and what less so? How can you re-create the beauty of yesteryear and how can you prevent past pain from resurfacing? Today, you have more alternatives and many more possibilities. Sort-out your feelings. Seize the chance to let go of old fears to fulfill your true desires. This will rejuvenate and empower you.
So this week, embrace your inner-child and give he/she permission to revisit the past, and let go of what no longer serves you!
Wishing you an emotionally rejuvenating week!
