The Five of Pentacles ~ Glass Half Empty...?
Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Five of Pentacles, representing: Worry, brooding and pessimism. Hmmm...and, yes, I do pull TT cards completely at random. What sublime synchronicity! The Tarot is a mirror of both our conscious and subconscious minds, personally and collectively, and I’m sure most everyone is feeling this card’s vibration of disappointment.
In the Tarot, Fives represent the energy of change. Often times, when we’re in transition, we associate our experience with feelings of loss—what we’re being “forced” to let go of. Pentacles, also known as coins, symbolize the material realm—here most usually—money, finances and security. When our daily survival is under change or called into question, it can lead to fear and worry.
Although this card does indicate change, if we keep in mind that change is a natural part of the evolution of life--Fall leads to Winter, Spring to Summer--it may be easier to embrace. This is a moment to consider: Are the cups half-empty, or half-full? It all depends on your perspective.
A useful way of engaging the Five of Pence, is to focus your energy on being pro-active, and realistically looking at what needs to change in your life. This is especially true in regards to finances. The time is ripe to deal with unfinished business, and you can expect new clarity in this regard. The more realistically you deal with stuff, the more momentum you will find. There is great freedom in getting clear, and moving on.
Worry can be an endless black hole. The Five of Pence encourages us to seize the day and embrace the opportunity presented here to make positive changes in our lives. Know that everything is in place to do so. Do not get stuck in the fear quagmire, and: “Carpe Diem!”
