The Magician ~ As Above, So Below

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Magician, representing: Beginnings, focus, creativity, manifestation, intentions, as above, so below. I love discovering new Tarot decks, and this card image is from the Dark Days Tarot by Seattle artist Wren McMurdo.
The Magician is the first card of the deck, and represents new beginnings. Ruled by Mercury--in Greek mythology, the winged Messenger of the Gods--the Magician connects us with our innate “god” power: the ability manifest our ideas and inspirations into reality. Here we become the very architects of our lives.
The key to the Magician’s power lies in the ability to focus his mind. To exert his will. Mind over matter. This requires him to be fully present to each moment. Much as the Buddhist Masters speak of “Zen”—a state of consciousness where one becomes aware of the infinite possibilities of the Universe—the Magician is learning to master this state.
If the Magician has appeared you, it is a time to embrace “Beginner’s Mind”. To become a willing student, open to new ways of doing things. The Magician indicates that you have all the tools you need to manifest a new reality, but first must develop and learn how to use them.
Your intentions, your thoughts, your words, carry energy and are extremely powerful now. Set them with care, and let them be your focus, without distraction. As above, so below.
Wishing you a powerful week!
