The Moon ~ Shadow Dancing!
Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Moon, representing: Reflection, intuition, dreams, emotions, imagination and illusion—a heady combination! La Luna is a mysterious and compelling presence; she is as old as time, a seductress, always teasing us with her cycles and shadowy light. Ultimately, she is a threshold to great illumination, and hidden potentials that can only come from embracing our darkness.
“Darkness” like the moon is complicated. On one hand, it is a symbol of the Sacred Feminine, the Eternal Mystery, the deepest reaches of our psyche, our inner emotional landscape, the place of dreams and imaginations. On the other hand, it is also the place where our deepest and darkest fears like to hide. In the moonlight, we meet our shadow, and in this card, we are often thrust into past and unresolved issues that need to be cleared.
When the Moon comes your way, she is asking you to go within, and reflect on the elements of your life that need more light. By doing so, you can clear out the darkness of the past. During this time you may ask yourself, what’s real…and what’s not. The moon casts an illusionary light, and sometimes it’s hard to differentiate. Don’t hesitate to reach out to others to guide you on your path. Sometimes we all need guidance to help us sort out our many layers of reality, and come to the place of healing and illumination. The moon reminds us: Is always darkest before the light.
