The Rooster ~ Radiance, Majesty and Charisma!

To the ancients, the Rooster was seen as a herald of the gods. Rooster invites you to assert yourself with aplomb. Now is not the time for modesty. Rooster says: Be proud of yourself and your accomplishments!

The vigilant Rooster alerts you to new and unique opportunities, or exposes potential problems so you can resolve them quickly. Associated with the dawn and springtime, Rooster is a sign of good health, fertility, prosperity and beginnings. He’s also linked to the performance arts.

The Rooster totem also represents sexual potency and physical attraction. Rooster can be charming, and romantic adventures abound! A nice prelude to Valentine’s Day! But be aware, Rooster is polygamous and likes to play in the hen house; he can signify multiple partnerships. Rooster can also signify a territorial challenge or a breach of trust. He warns of over prideful behavior and arrogance. With this animal spirit, balance is key, especially on the relationship front. Obviously, this is not the most sensitive of animals. The key is learning to communicate, without overtaking the needs and desires of others.

ROAR! New Moon in Leo Friday!

The Wily Fox ~ Be Like The Wind!

Animal Totem Friday ~ The Fox: Representing Cunning, Diplomacy, Camouflage.

Fox is an animal totem that has been showing up a lot in my life of late--as you can see by my Fox badge (from Coral and Tusk)!--so it was fun to explore this cunning, wily forest creature. My go to sources for exploring Animal Totems are the Druid Animal Oracle Deck and Medicine Cards (Jamie Sams and David Carson). Both are great resources, if you want to do more research or better understand your animal totem.
