Ace of Swords ~ Seize the Day!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Ace of Swords, representing: Clarity, divine truth, inspiration, destiny and breakthroughs. Throughout the ages, the sword has been a symbol of divine strength. Think of mythology’s young King Arthur, who drew the magical sword Excalibur from the stone and took his rightful throne. The Ace of Swords indicates a time to seize your power! This is a destiny moment, one that comes from your own making.  

This requires you to focus the might of your mind and will towards what you want to manifest, without distraction. The Ace of Swords is often called the “Ace of Truth”, as it cuts away anything that is not in alignment with your higher truth. There are no gray areas here. Gather your courage, and stand for what you know to be right and true. If others don’t understand, this is not your concern. Let go of negative thinking and focus on the new clarity that is at hand. Seize the day!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Ace of Swords, representing: Rebirth, Divine Will and Truth. Time for a story…Pictured here is the moment when King Arthur, as a teenage boy, pulled the magical sword Excalibur from the stone on New Year’s Day.

For ages, the sword has been a symbol of divine rulership and might. But it more than that. It represents the spiritual will that conquers fear and self-doubt. It is the strength of clear thinking, that routs the mental armies of worry and indecision. It is the fiery force of intuition, an attribute of the higher mind. When one holds the magic sword, they are mentally empowered, allowing them to follow their path of destiny. A warrior on the road of life.

When the Ace of Swords appears for you, tap into your power of one-pointed thinking. Seize hold of your divine will and wield it as a tool to vanquish negative thoughts. Remember, that to live by fate is be controlled by circumstances beyond your control. To follow your destiny is to honor your spiritual heritage and recognize that you came into this world for a clear purpose.

By removing the sword from the stone, you are learning to master your mental powers. This card can indicate the birthing of a new way of thinking and the demise of illusions. It may signify the start of an intellectual project, the writing of a book, or the beginning of a journey.

Bam! We Have Three Aces in the House!

Tarot Tuesday! What?! Three Aces? Yup! Every once in a while I’m prompted to pull more that one card for the week (to get a broader view), and to my surprise I drew: The Ace of Wands (Fire), Ace of Cups (Water) and the Ace of Swords (Air). It is a rare occurrence to have 3 aces show up together, and signifies a dramatic shift in energy. Aces represent rebirth and are powerful agents of change. With the coming Mercury Retrograde, grab ahold of this dramatic momentum, before the energies slow down next week.

Ace of Wands: Fire is the realm of creativity, spiritual and personal growth. The Ace of Wands represents a time to breakthrough old ways of being, and express yourself in new ways. This card is all about power, or better yet—empowerment—a time where you stand up for yourself and make things happen!

Ace of Cups: Water is the realm of feelings, emotions and the soul. The Ace of Cups signifies an emotional rebirth, one that affects you deep within your core, your soul. This card often represents new beginnings in relationships, as you are freed from past emotional baggage, opening you to receive love in ways never possible before!

Ace of Swords: Air is the realm of the mind and the intellect, and the Ace of Swords is often referred to as the “Ace of Truth.” When you connect to the energy of this card, you embrace your authentic truth, and cut away anything (or anyone) that isn’t apart of your highest self. Cutting away the past may sting, but the liberation you will find is worth it!

As exciting as these Aces are, this level of powerful change can be unsettling. So don’t forget to ground and be mindful of your actions. The key is to not let these big energies work you, instead, you need to work them! Intensions are significant now, and will serve you in the weeks to come.

The Ace of Swords ~ Standing in Your Truth!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Ace of Swords, representing: Intellectual clarity, original thinking, brilliance and divine inspiration. Ace of Swords…You had me at clarity! With so much cosmic confusion (hello Mercury Retrograde!), this card offers a welcome relief, an opportunity to see more clearly and get to the truth in all matters. 

Aces represent new beginnings, and in many decks, The Ace of Swords is called: "The Ace of Truth". The story goes that when you connect to this Ace, you connect to your Divine Truth, and anything (or anyone) that is not in alignment--will be cut away. Truth is powerful stuff, like a cosmic lightening bolt, it requires honesty and integrity and standing for who your are. It will also quickly cut to the heart of what’s truly important.

By standing in your truth, you will experience transformation and freedom. Being truthful clears the mind and heart, allowing you to see more clearly and open your mind to greater potentials and inspiration.

At the same time, the “take no prisoners” aspect of this card can be harsh! It’s important in your path of truthfulness, that your honestly is delivered with a kind and generous heart. This is called—good karma!

This week, ask yourself: Am I standing in my Truth? Then make adjustments so you can go forward with life-changing, authentic power!
