Of all the Queens, the Queen of Swords is perhaps the most intelligent and worldly. Her mind is clear, and her judgment is not clouded by emotion or sentimentality. With her clear gaze and upwardly pointed sword this Queen is ready to sternly and concisely lead you to victory!

You may see this card appear when a situation calls for you to marshal your intellect and bring more intelligence and information to a situation instead of compassion and empathy. This Queen often shows up when there are powerful, intelligent women in your realm who can be either mentors or allies, helping you to see clearly and discern the truth.

This Queen is formidable, and at times may seem cold and aloof, as she leads more from her mind than from her heart. She is learning to balance her intellect with her heart and intuition as a way of discerning and acting on all possible options.

The Queen of Cups ~ Embrace Your Feminine Mystery!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Queen of Cups, representing: Emotional integrity, divine mystery, blossoming love and authentic feelings.

The Queen of Cups is completely at home in her watery element—the realm of feelings, emotions, the unconscious and the soul. She openly shares her feelings with others, even if those around her do not always understand her watery depths. She never compromises her emotional integrity and embraces her sensitivities, knowing they are an integral part of her divine beauty!

She is a powerful archetype of the divine feminine, representing the sacred mysteries, the deepest darkest parts of being. (And for you lovely men out there, remember we all have a feminine side!) She is not to be understood intellectually, instead we must feel and sense into her. The Queen of Cups is shrouded in mystery and if we truly wish to comprehend her mystery, we must be willing to dive into the realm of psyche and soul. 

This Queen’s path signals a time of emotional rebirth and new beginnings in relationships. The more you are willing to be emotionally and spiritually authentic, the more you will draw to you relationships that serve your highest and deepest being.

Queen of Wands ~ The Queen of Wisdom!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Queen of Wands, representing: Self-knowledge, creativity, self-expression, teaching and learning!

In the Tarot, Queens represent a mastery of their path—and the Queen of Fire has reached a place of both wisdom and self-knowledge. This is a moment where your knowledge is in full bloom; a time where the student becomes the teacher, a time to share your life and what you know--your knowledge with others. 

Indeed, this queen is often called the “Queen of Wisdom”, and in some deck she wears a crown of thorns, an indication that her wisdom doesn’t necessarily come from a book, it comes from her experience, the ups and downs, the good and not so good, ultimately a life lived through self-discovery!

So this week, embrace your whole “story”, knowing it is a part of who you are, in the best sense, without judgment or self criticism. This is the mark of a true spiritual teacher. And most importantly--know that others will benefit from learning from your journey!
