Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Queen of Pentacles representing: Fruitfulness, nourishment, beauty and renewal. This image is from the Art of Life Tarot deck, which combines artistic masterpieces and sage quotes to represent the different cards. Here the Queen of Pentacles is represented by a painting by Gustav Klimt—“Portrait of a Woman in a Golden Dress”.
The Queen of Pentacles indicates renewal. She has arrived, after a hard journey through barren land, to greener, more fertile territory. She rests now, enjoying the fruitfulness of her surroundings, taking time to reflect on her long and difficult path. She has reached a state of complete contentment. Her attention now is on nurturing her body, her health and physical beauty.
Focusing on beauty may seem vain, but here it is not beauty in the commercial, “I want to look perfect” sense—it is beauty in its truer form: The qualities that give pleasure to or exalt the mind. The Queen of Pentacles encourages you to take the upmost pleasure in finding and celebrating the beauty in your life!
Pentacles represent Earth, the physical and material realm. Pentacles are often associated with money and security, and although this is true, the Queen of Pentacles speaks more to our relationship with our physical bodies. This card is a reminder to take care of, and nurture your body. Your body is your vessel for your soul in this lifetime and needs attention! Devote some time to self-nurturance, whether it’s through cooking whole and nurturing foods, visiting your health-care practitioner for an update, or indulging in some body work or a massage.
Queen of Pentacles Affirmation: I give my body the gift of loving attention, it gives me the gift of life energy, joy in living and health.
Wishing you a beautiful week!
