The Hermit ~ Find Your Inner Light!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is The Hermit, representing: Going within, patience, internal fulfillment, wisdom and solitude. Perfect for the Mercury Retrograde!

The Hermit is the archetype of Wise Teacher and Old Soul. His appearance calls us to embark on a solitary, yet profound journey of self-discovery. The Hermit travels in the night, the dark reaches of our psyche and the unknown, with the light of inspiration as his guide. He represents our wise inner guide, that deep presence within us all that helps to illuminate our journey.

The Hermit’s calling cards are patience and faith. He knows that profound discovery, the path of true wisdom, doesn’t happen overnight.  

His faith comes from the belief that we are held in this journey—whether guides, angels, masters—or that friend that shows up in your life when you most need them the most! Guides and teachers are all around us!

Instead of an affirmation, this week I offer this psalm, a prayer of sorts, just thought it was powerful and appropriate: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; they rod and thy staff they comfort me.” 23rd Psalm of David.
