The Seven of Swords ~ The Truth Will Set You Free!
Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Seven of Swords, representing: Fear, expectations and negative thinking. This card (from the Wild Unknown Tarot) shows a fox, with six menacing swords suspended above its head. These swords represent illusion. But the fox, being ever-so wily, has kept one sword for itself. That sword represents the truth. The Seven of Swords signifies a struggle between illusion and truth. What is real…and what is not.
Swords represent the realm of the mind and the intellect. The Seven of Swords is a tricky path, just as our minds can be sneaky tricksters, seducing us into believing what is not always real, often based on fear and a need to control reality. This card invites us to explore our belief systems, our ideas and how we think. Most especially, any negative thinking patterns. Because, after all, as we all know, our thoughts do create our reality!
This process will surely involve some untangling of past beliefs, but the great reward is finding our truth. And although it may sound counter-intuitive…don’t overthink it!
Another aspect of the Seven of Swords concerns expectations. This is a time to be wary of the needs and projections of others. It is not your job to make everyone happy! Be cautious of those who have agendas with you--they may not be what they seem or are presenting. Look beyond the illusion and see what is real.
When in doubt, check in with your personal integrity—does the situation align, or not? It’s simple. Embrace your Sword of Truth, it is wholly yours and simply for the taking.
Don’t forget to vote, we are creating our reality now!
