Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Three of Swords, representing: Truth, piercing through illusion, heartbreak and disappointment. Traditionally, the Three of Swords shows a heart pierced by three swords. In the Couture Tarot, the image becomes a piercing stiletto boot. Either way, there is a piercing, a cutting away, usually around affairs of the heart. Although this can be painful in the moment, the Three of Swords brings liberation, as you pierce through illusion to see the truth.

Reality can be a hard friend, but in the highest sense, the heart seeks integrity and is unserved by mistruths and illusions. Here you find the strength to let go of what no longer serves you. Don’t get stuck in fear, or disappointment of what might have been. Instead grab a hold of the golden opportunity presented to live a more authentic life. If you’re seeking justice, know that karma and Divine Truth, always prevail. For now, stand in your clarity and trust that by embracing your higher truth great rewards will come!

The Three of Swords ~ The Truth Will Set You Free!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is The Three of Swords, representing: Truth, clarity and decisions. The Three of Swords is often seen as a card of heartbreak. Although this can be one aspect, it is not the whole story. The Swords pictured here are “Swords of Truth”, indicating a time of facing the truth, especially in regards to matters of the heart. Although facing the reality of a situation can be painful, it can also be liberating. Here “the truth will set you free” applies.

Saturn is the astrological ruler of this card. Saturn is a tough taskmaster, a strict teacher, and he makes all impurities visible. One way or another, Saturn forces us into reality, with no escape hatch. Yet, the beauty of Saturn, and the 3 of Swords, is that if you are willing to work with the truth, there will be rewards--namely a new sense of clarity and peace of mind.

The shadow side of this card is giving into negative thinking; developing a distrustful attitude towards life and love. Ultimately the lesson to be learned is that negative energy and over-thinking separates us from ourselves, and from source. It serves no purpose. If you are willing to embrace reality, a positive energy begins to flow, leading you forward into new and better experiences.

The 3 of Swords can indicate a time of making decisions. Remember, every problem contains a solution, even if you can’t see it now. If you’re struggling, ask that Divine Truth be revealed to you. Most often the answer to your decision lies in trusting yourself and what’s in your heart, even if it causes you sorrow.
