The Nine of Coins ~ Generosity = Abundance!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Nine of Coins (Pentacles) representing: Abundance, success, admiration, self-realization, giving and receiving.

The best way for me to describe the energy of this card is through a personal story. You’ve seen my postings about the abundant harvest of plums I’ve had this summer. So, I opened up my yard to anyone who wanted to come and pick the plentiful plums. And low and behold, I had dozens of people come by. Neighbors, friends, family, clients, kids on skateboards, people walking their dogs…with bags and bowls, all enjoying the harvest. And it was so fun to commune and share with everyone. I was totally  having an Earth Goddess moment!

Then, the other day, one of my friends brought me several jars of plum jam that she had made from the purple plums (and some pickles too), and it brought me so much joy! And a deep realization of how abundant generosity can be.

And in the same few days, I was gifted a car by my parents (their old car—but totally sweet and much better than my old one), and I received the most amazing painting from an artist I greatly admire.

So, the Nine of Pentacles asks: How do you define abundance? It can come in worldly success and money—which is always great! or in the simple joy of sharing, of giving and receiving.

The mantra for this card is: The more I give, the more I receive!
