Full Moon in Cancer ~ It's Sublimely Complicated...
On Thursday we have an intense Full Moon in Cancer (3:34am PST), occurring four days after Mercury finished its retrograde movement in opposite sign Capricorn. It is also the first Full Moon of 2017, which is a One Year (2+0+1+7=10=1), a year of new beginnings! This is a powerful time where realizations experienced over the last month (during the retrograde period), can now be put into action.
The sign of Cancer represents security and our emotional needs. It is a sensitive sign, also associated with home, family, caretaking and domestic life. Now for the complicated part: This Full Moon joins a Cardinal Grand Cross. Cardinal Crosses are both intense, and stimulating! The Cardinal players are expansive Jupiter (in Libra), liberating Uranus (in Aries) and transformative Pluto in (Capricorn). This cosmic landscape is ripe with breakthroughs, opportunity to let go, move on and get in synch with your greater potentials.
At the same time, these intense energies may force new realizations about what’s real, and what’s not. There is a drilling down to the Essential Truth for us all, and there is no stone unturned. The signs of the zodiac most affected by these transits is the Cardinal signs—Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
Finally, in this Intense Full Moon, there is also opportunity for healing. Because of the moon’s harmonious relationship with Chiron—the wounded healer—now is a time to heal past wounds, especially around your relationships, family and friends. As this Full Moon asks you to look at your security, consider that it’s right in front of you—in your family and friends.
