Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Leo ~ January 20th

Tonight (and early tomorrow morning for East Coasters) is the Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Leo. Eclipses represent sea changes, often bringing illumination to what needs to be transformed in our lives. Lunar Eclipses always join a Full Moon, and stimulate the shadow areas of our psyche, emotions and inner-world, bringing attention to these deeply sensitive areas. It is not unusual to FEEL intensively during this time. If you can embrace your feelings and emotions, whatever is illuminated for you now, without judgment, there can be a great transformation and awakening.

 Today’s Eclipse/Full Moon is in the sign of Leo. Leo is a fire sign, and rules the realm of self-expression, creativity and unique individuality, bringing the spotlight to how we give our light. We all have special gifts and talents, and Leo asks us to celebrate this! The Leo Full Moon is directly opposite the Aquarius Sun, bringing the expressions of Aquarius--unity, inspiration, higher consciousness and service to humanity—into the picture. This Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon asks us to integrate these two polarities, which could be described as: Celebrating your individuality, in the service to the greater good. Powerful stuff!

 Take time in the next few days (we feel Eclipses for days, even weeks before and after) to commune with your light--who you are on the deepest of levels--and to let go of what no longer serves your true essence. Rituals and meditative practices are especially powerful during eclipses. Full Moon in Gemini ~ It's Complicated!

Full Moon in Gemini ~ Sunday, December 3rd at 7:47am pst

 This Full Moon is extremely active, fully loaded (planetary-wise), and hence complicated! Gemini Moons carry the vibration of: Curiosity, spontaneity, connection and communication. What’s notable about this Gemini Full Moon (also a Super Moon, meaning that it’s lunar cycle is closest to Earth, giving it more gravitational impact), is that it falls the day after the beginning of the Mercury Retrograde in opposite sign Sagittarius, bringing an extra element of discombobulation to the mix.  

Also notable is that this Full Moon forms a direct square--in laymen’s terms: Tension!--to Universal Neptune and Jupiter. Neptune (in Pisces) is dreamy, empathic, imaginative and highly intuitive. In conflict with the Full Moon, you may be asking yourself: What’s real and what’s not? Thankfully, Gemini has the capacity to experience different realities, or state-of-minds, simultaneously! Now is a time to be careful about your energetic boundaries, so that you don’t get caught up in other people’s “stuff”.

Jupiter in Scorpio, teases the equation. On one hand, hopeful and expansive; on the other, mysterious and perplexing, compelling us to take the plunge into deeper worlds within ourselves. Something Gemini often resists. Gemini wants tangible facts; Scorpio says surrender into the unknown.  

So, you see—it’s complicated! Yet, this is not a “bad” thing. The key during this lunar period is to stay open to new worlds, expressions and ways of being. The downside is that, it’s very likely that a whole lot won’t make sense right now. Surrender. Go with the flow. Trust.

Fiery Full Moon in Aires, October 5th!

Today’s Full Moon in Aries carries a powerful, high-energy vibe. Aries is a fire sign, and combined with the heightened energy of the Full Moon, it intensifies many of the qualities of Aries, namely: Passion, desire and conquering new territory!

This Full Moon asks: What do you desire? What do you want? Aries is a “selfish” sign, encouraging us to be in-touch with our authentic selves. To embrace the growth that comes from being honest and open with our needs. This is a time to express yourself, and lay claim to your desires.

Transformative Pluto joins this Full Moon equation, adding extra intensity to exploring our deeper and hidden selves. This is a time to emerge from the shadows and embrace your true power. There is opportunity now, to release old past wounds that have held you back. By looking at your shadow-side, your fears, squarely in the face, you can release the past and begin to invest in the future.

The Aries Full Moon says be bold, courageous and brave enough to explore your desires. At the same time, it also illuminates its opposite sign of Libra—the sign of relationships. This is a moment where you looking to find more harmony in the partnerships around you. This is a delicate dance between your needs and the needs of others.

Full Moon in Pisces ~ Embrace Your Magic!

Just past midnight, September 6th, a magical, spellbinding Full Moon in Pisces (at 14 degrees) illuminates our world. Luna joins dream-weaver Neptune, bringing a most romantic and enchanting vibe. This Full Moon reminds me of Cinderella (surely a Pisces!), and the moment she meets her Fairy Godmother, and Bippity Boppity Boo, her cinder rags fall away, transforming into a shimmering gown, and she is ready for the ball.

Like silver moonlight reflected on water, this Full Moon can hypnotize you, and put you in her thrall, or even throw you off course with her magical tricks. Is it true or illusion? Only time will tell. For now, give yourself permission to daydream. To play in the fields of your imagination—the place where all dreams are possible. Become your own Cinderella at the ball!  

Draw of the energy of the Sun in opposite sign Virgo to ground you and keep it real. Alas, all magical coaches turn back into pumpkins, but you may find that the magic of this Full Moon, lives full and alive in your psyche for some time to come.

My natal moon is in Pisces, 14 degrees, and I have transiting Neptune there as well. So, I’m really feeling this Full Moon! On one hand, it’s deeply expansive and creative…on the other, it is like diving into a watery emotional world. So, for now, I’m embracing being both a mermaid and Cinderella, and planning my amazing, shimmering ball gown!!

Full Moon in Capricorn ~ Life's a Mystery. Don't take it too Seriously!

We are eager to take charge of our lives, but the Full Moon in serious Capricorn on July 9, 2017, cautions us to move slowly in our quest for power. This Full Moon joins potent Pluto, intensifying our motivations and creating a sense of urgency around situations that aren't as critical as they seem. Pluto's presence reveals hidden motives and creates psychological intensity, but this energy can also be used to get to the bottom of a lingering mystery. 

Meanwhile, the nurturing Cancer Sun is conjunct superhero Mars at the time of this Full Moon, concentrating our intentions on those things worth fighting for. Instead of agitating fears, we have the opportunity to become spiritual warriors, defending love against senseless attacks of hate.

Nevertheless, the ambitious Capricorn Full Moon only carries us so far; we must be willing to make wise decisions, dedicating the required time and energy to accomplish our goals. Unfortunately, an awkward alignment between red-hot Mars and cold Saturn indicates we may encounter trouble if we underestimate the distance to our final destination. Although we're tempted to sprint to the finish line, success is more likely once we accept that we're actually running a marathon.
