Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Page of Cups, representing: Emotional freedom, heart-openings, innocence, grace, and new-love. Here the Page Cups is a mermaid, gracefully rising from the depths of a magical sea. She indicates a time when you are being freed from the tangled (sea)weeds of the past, to emerge anew! She wears a winged heart as a crest, showing her vulnerability, and that she is willing to share her heart openly. This page has no need for protection. Her innocence has become her strength, allowing her great emotional freedom. 

When this mermaid swims into your life, she encourages you to open your heart to new experiences. To let go of any emotional baggage, knowing that it no longer serves you. Be kind and gentle with yourself, and those around you. Then frolic in the sea of love and its unlimited potentials. Great treasure awaits!

The Princess of Cups ~ Time to Open your Heart!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Princess of Cups, representing: Emotional freedom, heart openings, kindness and grace. Here, the Princess of Cups, or Water, is a Mermaid, gracefully rising from the depths of a magical sea. She indicates a time when we can free ourselves from the rocks and tangled (sea)weeds of the past, and emerge anew, ready to open ourselves to the experience of love again.  

The Princess of Cups wears a winged heart as a crest, showing her vulnerability, and that she is willing to share her heart openly and without pretense. This Princess has no need for protection. Her innocence has become her strength, allowing her great emotional freedom.

Her companion is a Sea Turtle, representing wisdom, intuition and serenity. The Sea Turtle is a creature of both the land and sea, symbolizing the ability to integrate the depths of our emotions with grace, and allowing us to be whole, and available to others.

The sea that is the Princess of Cups’ domain, can be a wondrous realm. It is not only the sphere of feelings and emotions, but of fantasy and imagination; romance and creativity! It houses the castles of your psyche, those great mansions that all mystical beings and lovers inhabit. She is a reminder to us all of the treasures that lie deep within our own magical depths, and to jump in and explore.  

When this Mermaid, the Princess of Cups, swims into your life, it is time to open your heart to new experiences. To let go of old perceptions and experiences, to become innocent, willing to believe again. Take time to frolic in the sea of unlimited potentials, with an open and willing heart. Unlimited treasures await.

Page of Cups ~ Embrace Your Dreamworld!

Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Page of Cups, representing: Creativity, new projects, innocence and inspiration. This Child of Water (dreams, the unconscious, intuitive realm) reminds me of the story of Alice In Wonderland and her journey, falling through the rabbit hole and discovering a realm of dreams and illusion….and asking herself: What’s real and What’s not?

This Page of Cups is from (Seattle based) artist Siolo Thompson and her Linestrider Tarot. Here’s her definition: “The Page of Cups is a good omen for the beginning of a creative project, venture, or relationship. It is an indication that there is new energy and potential trying to burst into your consciousness.

"Your unconscious mind is speaking, possibly through dreams, “coincidences” or synchronistic events. The message to be taken is that you must be open to the unexpected, maybe even bizarre impulses of the creative spirit. The Page of Cups may also be an indication that your intuition is very sharp and you may receive messages from your unconscious mind. If you have a hunch or gut feeling about something, listen closely.”

So, this week, pay attention to your dreamscape, your intuition, and be willing to fall through the rabbit hole of new possibilities. And remember what Alice said to the furious Queen of Hearts who wanted to chop off her lovely head: “Who cares for you? You’re nothing but a packs of cards!” 

The Page of Cups ~ Embracing Emotional Vulnerability!

Tarot Tuesday! This week, it’s another Page!–the Page of Cups representing: Emotional clarity, freedom from the past, intuitive insight, grace and kindness.

In the Tarot, Pages represent a youthful energy; like children, they are open, playful and vulnerable. They don’t carry past baggage, and feel free to explore their desires without heavy “grown-up” concerns or judgments. They are the essence of new and hopeful beginnings!

The Page of Cups, representing the realm of water (feelings, emotions and intuition) is about playfully mastering your emotions. It encourages you to leave the ghosts of the past behind. To do so, it requires that you not dwell on past mistakes, weaknesses, or fears.

Instead, embrace your life with an open and loving heart. Sometimes being vulnerable is the essence of mastery, for it opens you to new experiences that you never dreamed possible! Even if that means–Wearing your heart on your sleeve.  Know that you will benefit by doing so!

Affirmation: The more I love myself, the more I can love others.

This card is from the Universal Salvador Dali deck, originally published in the 1970’s, and a great favorite of mine for many years. Because, until recently, it had been out of print, I had only the book, but not the actual cards. Then on my recent trip to the East Coast, my Marketing Assistant, Leah, knowing of my love of the Dali deck, found it and gifted them to me!
