New Moon in Libra ~ Finding Heart Balance

Today’s Libra New Moon is about bringing a new sense of balance into our lives. With all the crazy twists and turns of late, so much change and chaos, we can take advantage of the Libra Moon energies to help us find our centers, the core of our hearts and souls, and endeavor to bring our lives into a new sense of wholeness.

Libra is all about relationships, and it is often through others that we find ourselves again. Libra is able to see both sides of an equation, and the New Moon offers a chance to build our negotiating skills, without compromising our principles or needs.

Libra Full Moon ~ Open Your Heart to Love!

Monday’s Full Moon (11:08pm PST) is in air sign Libra. Libra is all about partnerships and balance, and learning how to see both sides of the equation. Libra’s ruler, the planet Venus, is often called the Goddess of Love, bringing a heart-centered focus to this Full Moon. Indeed—April’s Full Moon is known as the “Pink Moon”, which fits perfectly, because pink is the color associated with love and the Heart Chakra!

When the Moon is in Libra, it is a perfect time to put yourself in the shoes of someone else. How can you be more compassionate? How can you be of service to others, and the world? The last few months have focused on setting goals and dreaming big. The Universe has been prompting us to get clear about what we truly desire, and what we want the rest of the year to look and feel like.

Now the time has come to turn our attention to others, and how our time and energy can be spent to contribute to the greater good. Rare Black New Moon on Friday!

A Black Moon occurs when there are two new moons within the same month. (September’s first new moon, in Virgo was on the 1st.) This is a rare celestial event that only happens approximately once every 32 months. But don’t let the “black” aspect of this moon trouble you. This new moon is filled with possibilities!

Yes, the Black New Moon brings with it a mysterious, dark impression, however, it is a highly positive influence that can draw out our intuitive, perceptive qualities, as well as encouraging us to bravely embrace our weaknesses and unlock our strengths. In Libra, it is joined by benevolent Jupiter adding some expansive, good ju-ju to the mix.

September has been a month of releasing, and this New Moon’s energy can give us that final push in the right direction.
