The Eight of Swords ~ Don't Over-Think It!
Tarot Tuesday! The card for the week is the Eight of Swords, representing: Worry, over-thinking and mental endurance. I refer to this card, as “becoming a prisoner of one’s own mind”, because it indicates a time where we can become so overwhelmed by our analytical thought process--figuring, planning, trying to control outcomes—that we end up in a state of confusion and utter exhaustion. The remedy is simple: Don’t over-think it! I know, harder than it sounds!
The Eight of Swords often appears when you are trying to make decisions about your future. It is also an indication that you do not have the clarity to find satisfactory solutions. Much like a tangled ball of yarn, the more you try to think your way through it, to forcibly unravel it, the tighter the knot becomes!
This is a time to let things rest and develop on their own for a while. As long as you have doubt about your decisions, don’t take action or do anything new. As it has been wisely said: If it’s not a “Hell Yes”, then it’s a “Hell No”! You may find that problems that seem unsurmountable now, with time and patience, organically find their way to new solutions.
The Eight of Swords is a harbinger of change, and unexpected outcomes for the better. Now more than ever, this is a time to surrender your intellectual mind and thought process to something greater and higher. Trust life, it’s mysterious process, and give yourself permission to relax, knowing that all is in Divine Right Order.
Wishing you a week of happy surrender!
